The link between the stout and Russia begins with a well-documented visit to England by Peter the Great in 1698, where he “fell in love with stout beers,” with the stout name describing only its strength, not its color.
Russian Imperial stout is a quantum leap up in flavor, intensity, and complexity from most stouts. When compared to the tamer versions — most notably the dry or Irish stout — it’s almost hard to believe they’re in the same style family.
This stout has a coffee and chocolate nose, bitter at first on the palat with very defined roasted malt and coffee taste and a hint of chocolate.
This kit contains over 7kg of malt with a very high ABV
Batch size 23L
milled grain, strain specific yeast, hops and instructions
Please note the following: This is beginner brewer kit and ferments between 18-22°C
What else do I need? You need the normal equipment, a brew bag and dextrose for priming sugar
